About the Journal

Focus and Scope

Military Technical Collection – printed, specialized scientific publication, containing materials from the results of scientific research of scientific and scientific-pedagogical workers, adjuncts and applicants of the scientific degree of the Hetman Petro Sahaidachnyi National Army Academy, other higher educational institutions and research institutions. For scientists, teachers, students, cadets and anyone interested in issues of military science and technology.

Peer Review Process

For evaluation of scientific articles submitted for publication in the Military Technical Collection, their mandatory review is carried out, namely:

1. Each scientific article is subject to internal and/or external review.

2. Internal review is carried out by members of the Editorial Board of the Collection. The decision to select an internal reviewer is taken by the editor-in-charge or deputy editor-in-charge.

3. External review is carried out by independent highly skilled specialists depending on a specific scientific direction of the Collection field of study. The decision to select an external reviewer is taken by the editor-in-charge or deputy editor-in-charge.

4. The review (revision) of a scientific article is carried out within one month. However, this term may vary upon the request of the reviewer or the author.

5. The reviewer has the right to refuse to review, especially in the presence of a clear conflict of interest to prevent the influence on his perception and interpretation of materials of the scientific article.

6. Based on the results of the external independent review, following recommendations are made on the publication of a scientific article:

- to accept without revision;

- accept with revision (substantiated);

- reject (substantiated).

7. In order to revise the scientific article, the author is sent the text of the review by e-mail with the recommendations provided by the reviewer. The author must make changes in accordance with the recommendations or substantiates their refutation. The revised scientific article is re-reviewed.

8. For the author's reluctance to revise the scientific article (to take into account the recommendations of the reviewer, to justify the refutation of the recommendations of the reviewer, exceeding the terms of revision without requesting their extension), the article is rejected by sending him/her a substantiated reply by e-mail.

9. In case of unresolved contradictions between the author and the reviewer, referral of the scientific article for additional review may be possible. In conflict situations, the decision is made by the editor-in-charge on the basis of the decision of the editorial board of the Collection.

10. The decision to publish or reject a scientific article is taken by the editor in charge, taking into account the results of the review.

11. The author of the scientific article will be informed about the acceptance or rejection of the scientific article after the decision is made by the editor-in-charge.

12. Reviews of scientific articles are kept in the editorial office and are used exclusively for internal document circulation.

Plagiarism policy

Military Technical Collection accepts for publication only materials with original research results, that is, the manuscripts of articles that were not published earlier and were not submitted for publication in other journals.

To identify text borrowings in the submitted manuscripts, the editorial board of the Military Technical Collection uses the software: StrikePlagiarism. The manuscripts in which plagiarism or textual borrowings are found without reference to the original source are rejected by the editorial board for publication in this edition.

PLAGIARISM BEFORE PUBLICATION

Military Technical Collection will judge any case of plagiarism on its own merits. If plagiarism is detected, either by the editors, peer reviewers or editorial staff at any stage before publication of a manuscript - before or after acceptance, during editing or at page proof stage, we will alert the author(s), asking her or him to either rewrite the text or quote the text exactly and to cite the original source. If the plagiarism is extensive - that is, if at least 25% of the original submission is plagiarized - the article may be rejected and the author's institution/employer notified.

PLAGIARISM AFTER PUBLICATION

In case of revealing the proven fact of plagiarism in an article that has already been published, its author (authors) is deprived of the right to be published in all subsequent issues of the journal, and the text itself is removed from the archive of the official website of the publication and from other places of public placement.
