Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • This submission has not previously been published and was not sent to the editorial boards of other magazines (or the following explanations are provided below in the comments for the editor).
  • The text meets the requirements for stylistics and bibliography set forth in the Manual for authors of the section "About the Journal". Internet links in the text are accompanied by complete correct URLs.

     

    REQUIREMENTS FOR TYPESETTING

    Sheet size: A4.

    Page setup: Margins  (indent from the edge): top - 2 cm; bottom - 2.5 cm; left - 2.25 cm;  right - 2.25 cm. 

    Article font - Times New Roman; normal spacing; 10 pt, the line spacing (multiplier) is 1.1.

    The text of the article is placed in two columns of the same width - 8 cm, the distance between the columns is 0.5 cm; the indent of the first line of the paragraph is 0.75 cm; full justification.

    Subtitle (font size - 12 pt): bold; no indents; alignment - centered; top and bottom are separated by 6 points.

     

    Do not use spacing or tabulation for text copyediting. Do not set up manual word transfer, do not use headers. Between the value of the variable and its unit of measurement, insert a non-separable space (Ctrl + Shift + space).

     

    Formulas: MS Equation Formula Editor.

    DO NOT use graphic objects, frames, and tables for formulas.

    Size and style of formulas: listed in the pdf-file.

    Tables should have a title (bold, 9 pt) placed above the table and typed symmetrically to the text. The title of the table should be grouped with the table.

    Figures are to be with titles placed under the figure (bold, 9 pt). The title is to be placed directly under the figure and centered.

    Coloured figures are  published as coloured only online and as grey when published on paper, therefore they have to be of sufficient quality when published as grey.

    Putting large pictures, formulas and tables in one column (up to 16.5 cm) is allowed.

     

    Two reference lists are to be provided (separated by subtitles (9pt, italic)):

    -         Список літератури: acoording to interstate standard ДСТУ 8302:2015 “Bibliographic references: general provisions and rules of compilation”.

    -         References: in English and transliterated in Latin script. Example is given below.

    References are to be put as a separate block, after Список літератури, following the succession of the bibliographic references of cited literature sources (hereafter: references). References should be formatted in accordance with Harvard style BSI: British Standards Institution.

     

    Список літератури (References) should include:

    -        no less than 10 references;

    -        no less than 60% of  references with DOI (Digital Object Identifier);

    -        no less than 40% of  references from publications indexed in international scientometric databases Scopus and/or Web of Science Core Collection.

    Список літератури (References) cannot include more than 20% of author’s self-citation.

    STRUCTURE OF THE MANUSCRIPT

     

    The text of the article should have the following structure: problem statement in general and its connection with important scientific or practical tasks; analysis of the latest researches and publications on which the author relies; formulation of the purpose of the article (statement of the task); an outline of the main research material with a full substantiation of the scientific results obtained; conclusions from the study and prospects for further exploration in this sphere; list of sources (References). The obtained results, which are offered for publication in thescientific article, should be of scientific novelty and practical significance. The procedure for obtaining a scientific result should be described in such detail that the Reader can independently reproduce the result or assess its reliability. If the Reader does not have the opportunity to verify the accuracy of the result, then such a manuscript qualifies as an information message. Manuscripts that do not correspond to the subject of the journal, do not carry scientific novelty or have the character of an information message are not accepted for consideration and are rejected by the decision of the editor-in-chief.

    The text of the article is divided into relevant sections with sub-headings, which are bolded, 12 pt, the indent from the top and bottom 6 points.

    On the last page of the article after the list of sources (References) article title, authors’ names and initials, abstract (indicating the scientific problem, the essence of research, methods used, results and conclusions) and keywords are presented (9 pt, line spacing - 1.0) are presented.

    Articles in Ukrainian and Russian are to have an extended abstract in English no less than 1800 characters, including key words.

    Articles in English are to have an extended abstract in Ukrainian and Russian no less than 1800 characters, including key words.


    Information about the authors is provided in Ukrainian and English should include:

    - last name, first name and patronymic;

    - institution where the author is employed, its location (city, country);

    - position, academic degree, academic title;

    - contact phone number, e-mail address;

    - author’s ORCID account.

  • If the material is submitted to the peer-reviewed section of the magazine, the Blind Review Guaranty's instructions were executed when filing the submission file.

     

    SUBMISSION OF MATERIALS

    The size of the manuscript is 3 to 13 pages in Ukrainian, Russian or English. Articles written in English at a high professional level are prioritized during review and publication. For invited articles - up to 20 pages.

    To be published, an article must be submitted in electronic form (Microsoft Word 2003 format) with a printed copy signed by all authors of the article.

    To the manuscript should be added:

    - an act of examination on the presence or absence of information with restricted access;

    - excerpt from the minutes of the of the department meeting (subdivision);

    - cover letter (for authors from other institutions and organizations).

    Materials, which are disorderly made and do not meet the specified requirements, are not considered by the editorial staff. Manuscripts not accepted for publication or rejected by the editors are not returned to the authors.


    The author and the department (unit) are responsible for the quality and content of the article.
