The article investigates aspects of creation and development of simulation modeling systems in the United States of America and dwells upon the role of simulation in operational and combat training of US Armed Forces. Main trends in the modernization of joint systems of modeling have been analyzed. Implementation of simulation and modeling in the learning process of Army Academy has been suggested.
